Website Development for GEO/AEO: How to Design a Site That AI Actually Quotes

Updated
TL;DR

If you have no website, if yours is technically outdated, or if it is a three-screen landing page, there is nothing to optimize: the AI simply cannot find anything worth quoting. The F-47 web team designs and builds sites for GEO/AEO from day one: entity map, prompt map, page architecture, answer-first structure, and a connected Schema.org graph. That is how we worked with Logika, Agricon, B1NARY FUTURE, and Hold You.

When a site needs rebuilding, not optimizing

Short answer: GEO/AEO works with what is already on the site. With no foundation, optimization turns into cosmetics. Three typical situations:

  • No website at all. The startup sells through decks and personal networks. For an AI system the brand does not exist: there is no source to read and cite.
  • An outdated website. Old template, heavy scripts, content loaded only through JS, markup missing or conflicting with itself. The crawler sees an empty page.
  • A site that is too minimal. A beautiful three-screen landing with no service pages, no cases, no pricing, no FAQ. Nothing to quote: AI takes facts, not mood.

How a GEO-ready site differs from an ordinary one

Short answer: an ordinary site is designed around the user journey, a GEO/AEO site around the question the user asks an AI assistant.

How we design: entities first, visuals second

Short answer: we start from how AI understands the brand, not from the mockup. The sequence of work:

  1. Entity map. We fix who you are, what you sell, who you serve, in which regions, and how you differ. This becomes the foundation of the markup.
  2. Prompt map. We collect the commercial queries of your niche: comparisons, “which company should I choose”, “alternatives to X”, “best service for Y”.
  3. Page architecture. Every cluster of queries gets its own page. Service, comparison, pricing, and case pages pull several times more AI traffic than the homepage.
  4. Answer-first prototypes. A direct answer in the opening lines, details below: definitions, tables, FAQs, trust blocks, cases with numbers.
  5. Technical build. Server-side rendering, speed, clean HTML, open access for GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, and Google-Extended.
  6. Markup and launch. A single Schema.org graph (Organization, Service, FAQPage, Article) with linked @id, hreflang for language versions, and AI visibility monitoring from day one.

What the project includes

  • Design, responsive front-end, loading speed.
  • Content structure built on the prompt map and answer-first copy.
  • org, entity blocks, and technical accessibility for AI crawlers.
  • Multilingual setup with correct hreflang when you sell across markets.
  • Handover into GEO/AEO support with no rework needed.

A website for AI is not a shop window, it is a source of facts. We design it so that a model finds the brand easy to understand and safe to cite.

Track record

  • Logika: a new website built for the largest programming school for children in Ukraine.
  • Agricon: the task of first-time brand entry into AI answers solved, cooperation continues.
  • B1NARY FUTURE: +34% mentions in ChatGPT and Perplexity as a trusted Shopify contractor for the US and Canadian B2B markets.
  • Hold You: traffic from ChatGPT grew 16.5x and from Copilot 4x within the first six months.
Frequently asked questions (FAQ)
Is it cheaper to rebuild or to optimize an existing site?

It depends on the condition. If the CMS and structure are healthy, optimizing is cheaper. If content is served only by scripts and service pages do not exist, a new site is faster and cheaper than endless patches.

How long does development take?

Usually 4 to 10 weeks, depending on the number of pages, language versions, and volume of content.

Do I still need a GEO partner after launch?

The site is the foundation, not the result. Content, external mentions, and regular monitoring of AI answers come next.

Can you guarantee a place in ChatGPT answers?

No. AI output is probabilistic. A properly designed site raises the odds significantly, but nobody can guarantee a “number one” spot.

Where to start

Do not guess whether your site is fit for AI promotion. Request a free technical audit: we will check what AI crawlers actually see on your pages and tell you plainly whether a rebuild or a refit makes more sense. If you have no site yet, we will show the structure of the future project for your niche and your customers’ queries.
